Junk Removal for Seniors and Disabled Residents
We run discounted junk removal for seniors and disabled residents right across North County, and on the jobs where somebody cannot cover the disposal cost at all, we pay the dump fees out of our own work. It is not a promotion and there is no form to fill in. Call, tell us the situation, and we will tell you what we can do.
Where the money comes from
Every paid job puts a little aside. That fund covers the tip fees on jobs for people who cannot cover them, and when it is there we donate the labor on top. The reason we can do it at all is that the paying work pays for it, so hiring us for a dumpster or a cleanout is what keeps it running.
What we can usually do
- Work to a budget you name. Tell us the number on the phone. We would rather size the job to your budget than quote you something you cannot pay.
- Take part of the load. Often the answer is not the whole house. We take the things that have to go, like the appliances and the heavy furniture, and leave what you can handle.
- Cover the dump fees. On jobs where somebody genuinely cannot pay, this is the part we absorb, and the labor goes in free with it.
- Come to you. Nothing needs dragging to the curb first. That is usually the whole reason for the call.
What we will not pretend
- We cannot do every job for free. There is a limit to the fund and we would rather be straight about that than take a booking we cannot honor.
- Big properties still cost money. A full multi-load property clearance is a real expense even at cost, so on those we look at staging it over time instead.
- We will not quote blind and change it later. If we need to see it first we will say so, and looking is free.
- No qualifying paperwork. There is no means test and no form. We take people at their word.

Oceanside, 3 bedroom house, 1 day's notice
She was 85, selling up and flying out of the country the next morning, with around $150 to her name and a house still full of furniture. Do you offer a senior discount on junk removal?
Yes. We discount junk removal for seniors case by case rather than running a fixed percentage, because every job is a different size. Tell us your budget when you call and we will tell you honestly what we can do for it.
What if I cannot afford the dump fees at all?
We set money aside out of paid jobs to cover tip fees for people who cannot cover them. When somebody genuinely cannot pay, we can often cover the disposal cost and put our labor in for free. We cannot do that on every job, but we would rather come out and look than turn you away on the phone.
Do you offer the same help to disabled residents?
Yes, on the same basis. We come to you, we do all the lifting and carrying, and nothing needs to be moved to the curb beforehand.
Do I have to move anything to the driveway first?
No. Our crew carries everything out from wherever it sits, including back yards, side yards, garages and upstairs rooms. That is the part most of our older customers are calling about in the first place.
Do veterans get a discount too?
Veterans and active duty get 15% off, always. That one is a flat rate rather than case by case, and it stacks with nothing else because it is already the best price we do.
