The job: a Camp Pendleton base housing cleanout for a military household on a move-out. The customer is not named, at their privacy.
The situation
Base housing does not care that your orders came late. This family had to be out of their unit at Camp Pendleton by 9:30 in the morning or take a fine, and the night before, they still had a house with belongings in the bedrooms, a garage full of things they could not take, and stains in the carpet that would not pass a walk-through. They called us that night.

Before: the garage, the morning of the move-out.
What we did
We told them we would be there early, and we were: on base at 6:45 a.m., through the gate, with Will and Cristina running the job themselves. We cleared the bedrooms and the rest of the home, took the items staged in the garage and driveway, and pulled the last of it from the backyard.
Then we did the part most junk-removal outfits do not do. We had loaded a vacuum, a broom, cleaning supplies, and a carpet cleaner before we left the yard, because a base-housing move-out is not finished when the rooms are empty, it is finished when the unit passes. We vacuumed, wiped everything down, and took the stains out of the carpet. Two loads went to the transfer station, and Will walked the unit with the customer before his inspection.

After: rooms emptied, vacuumed, and wiped down for the walk-through.
Why this one matters to us
Driving onto Edson Range that morning, Will passed the road to his own barracks at Las Flores, where he was stationed as a Marine. He has been on the other side of this: orders come, the clock starts, and the house has to be empty and clean by a time somebody else picked. That is the whole reason we take these calls on short notice.

One of two loads, at the transfer station.
Why military families call us
We are a Marine veteran-owned, family-run company in North County San Diego, and we have access to the base. We take short-notice calls because PCS timelines do not give you much runway. We bring the cleaning gear, not just the truck, because clearing the rooms is only half of clearing the inspection. And we have been where you are. Active-duty and veterans get 15% off.
